February is Black History Month. It is a time for all to reflect on how far we’ve come, and how much further we still have to go. This year’s BHM marks a significant milestone: It has been 200 years since Parliament passed the Act to abolish the slave trade in the British Empire.
In keeping with this spirit, IWD is very pleased to announce that Universe Africa has launched its brand new website. Throughout the design and development process, the main priority was to ensure that the unifying message would shine through to site viewers; that is, the spirit of people learning about Africa and, by effect, coming together to better understand one another.
Its founder also just submitted a proposal for opening a Universe Africa Museum, celebrating the cultural diversity of Toronto and the world.
