International Web Development (IWD) is delighted to announce the launch of the newly designed and developed Student Vote BC Election website. IWD has been working with Student Vote for a while; it was natural IWD was called in to create a new site for the Student Vote organization
Take a look at their site: http://www.studentvote.ca (please click on either the Student or Teacher link)
Site Mission: To provide an online home for students, teachers and the public during the campaign to utilize the potential of online interactions to achieve the project mission and key project outcomes.
Project Mission: To improve the quality and quantity of voter turnout in the BC provincial election.
Project Vision: BC elementary and secondary students inspiring public interest, knowledge and engagement in the provincial election resulting in increased voter turnout.
This will be achieved by:
1. Supporting educators in their facilitation of an election curriculum in schools, focused on political knowledge and experience.
2. Enabling students – with the mission and tools – to educate and engage their peers, parents and school community in the provincial election and referendum.
3. Rallying and attracting public support for the mission of Student Vote BC 2009.
