Bamboo marketing finally launched their new website. As our print partners they provided us with their design and had us develop it into what you see today.

I did quite a bit of research before getting to this ‘who we are’ thing. I read a lot of these on other company’s websites to get a feel for what is normally said here, and I have made two discoveries in doing so:
I would LOVE to be like a lot of these companies
I would NOT WANT to be like a lot of these companies
The other thing I really noticed is that after reading most of them I still didn’t care about many of them. For the most part they read as though they were cut and pasted, bit by bit from the same cookie cutter template. All the right buzzwords were there: reliable, creative, trustworthy, responsible, cutting edge, etc and so on. Yawn.
This made me think that this exercise, perhaps, is a little bit meaningless. What else would anyone say: we’re a little too expensive, we’re still learning, we’re known to screw up every now and then but we really try hard? Doubtfully. Do the ‘who we are’ pages actually entice people to call because of what they say?
So here it is; while we are “reliable, creative, trustworthy, responsible, cutting edge, etc and so on”, it really isn’t WHO we are. We are more.
Who we are is a company that enjoys what we do. We like coming to work every day. We have fun. We learn something new every day and can’t wait to learn more. We consider ourselves partners with our clients and celebrate their successes. We’re casual but professional. We ask questions when we don’t know something and admit we don’t know everything. We listen to music. We wear comfortable clothing and sensible footwear. We are polite and actually care about the people we work with. We have pets and love animals. We separate the wheat from the chaff (I don’t even know what that means but I love saying it!). We love movies and spending time with our families. We are people who treat people as we wish to be treated.
Finally: I hope you have found Who We Are interesting and pleasurable. We would very much like to hear from you.
